This module examines the concepts and fundamentals of computer based information systems and the impact of IT on a firms structure, performance & relationship. The students develop an overview of telecommunication and computer networks as well as the ability to use, design and modify databases.

Databases
Students will be introduced to Microsoft Access. Design and create tables with appropriate data types, Entity-relationship modelling, Normalisation, Edit and link tables, Create and edit forms, reports and queries.
