History of supply chain management principles; basic components of a supply chain structure; role of supply chain function; Barriers to building a trusting relationship; transactional; relational; supply alliances; situations where supply alliances are inappropriate
Physical Distribution Management
Upstream and downstream material, financial and information flows; functions of materials management and distribution; materials management; distribution management; logistics strategies; reverse logistics; warehouse management
Manufacturing Strategy and Operations
Continous improvement; root cause analysis; kaizen; challenges
