Workshop Practice
Conduct a Risk Assessment and use safe working practice in relation to tool and machine operation (mortiser, spindle moulder).

Construction
Marking out, Sawing square in both vertical and horizontal planes. Morticing, chiselling fitting, assembly(squaring, twist prevention, gluing and wedging) and finishing.

Materials
Natural softwood Planed All Over (PAO) and manufactured boards.
|
Jointing
Single, double and barefaced mortise and tenoning. Moulded glazing bar intersections. Weathering detail to prevent water penetration.

Setting Out
Preparation of working drawing and setting out boards in accordance with building regulations.Transferring joint detailing to materials.
