Module Description: This module introduces the organisational and managerial foundations of systems and their strategic role and enables students to perform preparation and analysis operations on the data produced by such systems.
 
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO1 Describe the main functional Business Information Systems and their limitations.
LO2 Explain how Information Systems can be used strategically to maximise competitive advantage.
LO3 Define E-Commerce and explain how it has transformed consumer retailing and Business to Business transactions.
LO4 Perform spreadsheet operations to allow for the preparation and transformation of data for analysis
LO5 Create interactive digital dashboards from multiple data sources that enable sharing of business insights

Spreadsheet Operations
Spreadsheet tools, operations and functions to allow for the sourcing, collection and preparation of data for analysis.

Building interactive dashboards using analysis, reporting and visualization tools.
