Module Description: The aim of this module is to give the student a theoretical knowledge of a single engine piston aeroplane operation, and to teach the skills necessary for the safe and competent operation of such aircraft. The syllabus is compliant with IAA and EASA requirements and is focused on completing the tests required for the Private Pilot Licence.

Practical Flying Techniques
Precautionary landings, basic upset recovery, basic instrument flight, diversion techniques.
Safety and Emergency Training
Engine icing, aircraft de-icing, anti-icing, unruly passengers.
General Navigation
Visual reporting points, visual on-route navigation, use of VFR charts.
Aviation Communication
ATP Liaison, pan calls and may-day calls, standard airport communications.

Flight Skill Test · A PARTIAL PASS when only one section of the test has been failed. The test involves skills based elements and oral assessment in parallel.
