Module Description: In this module students will learn the application of the Transactional Analysis Theory of Life Script and its various component elements, including rackets, games, strokes, life positions and discounting. They will learn the appropriate application of these concepts to their own life experience. They will also apply the components and process of personality adaptation to their own life experience. They will also be address the issue of how Life Script can be brought into awareness and changed through counselling and psychotherapy. In addition they will continue to apply the psychoanalytic concepts of unconscious process and transference as well as the elements of group process to their own experience and to the counselling setting.

On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO2 Analyse how life script has been maintained and expressed in his/her own day to day living.
LO3 Analyse his/her own personality adaptation using the components and processes of Personality Adaptation.
LO4 Identify and analyse how unconscious process and transference are expressed in his/her own life script.
LO5 Analyse his/her own experience of bringing life script into awareness and changing it.
LO6 Analyse his/her own experience in the experiential group using advanced concepts from group process theory.

Identifying and describing personal experience of life script 2. Reviewing and analysing personal experience of the process of life script development 3. Use the concepts of injunctions, drivers and the script matrix to analyse the development and perpetuation of life script in his/her own life 4. Reviewing and analysing personal experience of rackets, racket feelings and the racket system 5. Reviewing and analysing personal experience of passivity and discounting 6.
