Solution of a linear equation. Solution of a quadratic equation (by factorisation and by formula). Solution of linear simultaneous equations.

Graphs
Plot a linear function. The general equation of a straight line. Deduce the equation of a straight line graph. Describe linear trend. Plot quadratic functions. Describe graphical trends. Graphical solution of quadratic equations.

Trigonometry
Pythagoras’ theorem. Trigonometric ratios of acute angles- sine, cosine, tan. Introduction to solution of triangles, sine rule, cosine rule.

Descriptive Statistics
Collect, sort and represent statistical data graphically (stem-leaf plots, pie charts, bar charts, histograms).
Measures of central tendency – mean, median and mode. Measures of variation – range and standard deviation.
