Module Description: This module supports the students learning and involvement in their clinical placement giving them experience and skills in: the role & nature of clinical supervision, assessment & evaluation techniques and other professional issues.

On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO5 Critically present an awareness of ethical and professional practice issues in developing and maintaining a therapeutic relationship

Art Therapy Practice
Introduction to clinical application of Art Therapy within a range of clinical situations: Child / Adolescent / Adult Mental Health, Learning Disabilties, Education, Palliative Care.
Professional Practice Issues
Development of the students professional identity and role through exploring current themes related to clinical practice: Dept of Health status, State registration, Issues of client confidentiality with reference to the role of the image within therapy. Role of supervision and it's relationship to practice and Continuing Professional Development
