Module Description: Live Gig Sound Reinforcement. This module develops the understanding of Live Sound Equipment (Sound Engineering) and good practice in its operation, covering both digital and analogue setups for concerts and performances.

On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

Health & Safety protocols for concerts and live events. Examination of H&S legislation in Ireland and Europe.
Signal Path
A thorough investigation of the path of the Audio Signal through a PA.
Setting up for Live Sound
Placement of mics for live sound. Placement of speakers for live sound. Using foldback. Avoiding feedback.
