Module Description: This module reviews the process of supervision in the community workplace and the roles of the supervisor and supervisee in that context. It facilitates the differentiation of the roles of supervisor, mentor, tutor, coach and trainer, and helps interpret these in relation to community-based project work.
 
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO1 Critically differentiate the roles of supervisor, mentor, tutor, coach and trainer.
LO2 Critique the role of supervisor with particular reference to the supervision of community-based project work.
LO3 Reflect and report on the process of supervision in relation to their own practice in placement.
LO4 Evaluate their own performance as supervisee within their own placement.
LO5 Evaluate the goals and objectives of the host organisation and critically locate their own practice within these.
