Module Description: This module critically addresses the learner's professional development within the community workplace setting, via reflective practice.
 
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO2 Critically review their performance in the work placement.
LO3 Evaluate the work practices in their workplace in the context of good/best practice for the sector.
LO4 Develop a set of recommendations for improvement of their practice.

The Community Workplace
Policies and practice. Models of good practice. Auditing and the benchmarking process (All Ireland Standards for Community Work). UK Occupational Standards. Legal/statutory requirements.
Workplace Reporting and Audits
Continuous professional development - communities of practice.
