Module Description: Community work operates in increasingly professionalised community and institutional contexts. This module focuses on the role of the community-based professional to prepare the learner for her/his future role. The module will be delivered in an interactive, dialogic fashion, utilising current case studies as well as masterclasses in the field of community education and development.
 
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO2 Critique the relevance of evidence-based practice in community work
LO3 Evaluate the need to maintain a multidisciplinary ethos and commitment to interprofessional relationships
LO4 Analyse the wider legal and policy context of community work, including child protection issues/legal responsibilities
LO5 Analyse key academic/policy concerns and practical interests and their implications for their professional practice
