Module Description: This module continues to develop the students learning in art therapeutic techniques and approaches. There is an emphasis on group learning through the continuation of the peer training group facilitated by an Art Therapist. In this group students further explore the nature of group formation, development and dynamics.

On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO5 Analyse and reflect on the relationship of their experiential process to their clinical practice

Indicative Content
Studio Practice
Learners develop their personal art process.
Art Therapy Workshops
Learners experience differing ways of working with individuals and groups taking into account particular client needs and issues. Group approaches of open and closed groups and theme centered groups are explored in depth looking at both technique and group/ individual issues that may arise.
Art Therapy Training Group
Students facilitated by an Art Therapist work within their peer group experiencing the exploration/ formation and development of a group through an experiential approach. Emphasis is given to personal and group learning through reflection, ending with a review of the group process.
