Module Description: This module provides the learner with the theory required for structured report writing,effective research methods,project development and presentation skills. Learners will be required to submit a technical research report highlighting the skills acquired from this module.

On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

Theory & Principles
Methods of report writing and report layouts, writing styles, referencing, bibliography, plagiarism considerations.
Time Management
Scheduling techniques for project work; Setting goals, Use of timelines, Gantt charts, etc.
Research proposal and research report
Analyse research data and create a proposal for a viable project relating to the primary course of study, develope proposal to research report.
Research
Source information from a variety of sources, evaluate the reliabity and validity of information sources.
Presentation
Presentation of research materials and presentation skills
