Module Description: This module is designed to give students a theoretical underpinning, and understanding, of performance management systems, and the role they play in organisational objective achievement.

On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO2 Plan effective performance management policies and practices to improve organisational and employee performance.
LO3 Critically evaluate the effectiveness of performance management.
LO4 Devise arguments for using appropriate performance management techniques, rewards, and sanctions to improve performance.
LO5 Apply appropriate communication skills required when managing achievement and underachievement.
