Module Description: In this module, learners will use the skills and knowledge gained on other modules to operate an investment fund. Learners will choose an investment strategy, investigate the effectiveness of the strategy within the literature and test the strategy using historic data. Then learners will decide on the format of the fund that they intend to establish, develop some of the required regulatory documentation and operate the investment strategy in an investment fund environment. The final stage will be to report on the performance of the fund in a format appropriate for an investor in the fund.

On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO2 Synthesise the relevant extant literature on the investing strategy
LO3 Critique the investment strategy
LO4 Appraise the investment strategy from a theoretical perspective

LO6 Develop some of the supporting regulatory documentation (Prospectus, KIID, Financial Statements)
LO7 Devise and implement a reporting strategy for the fund
LO8 Reflect on the process undertaken and identify areas for future learning and professional development
