Module Description: There is a focus on qualitative research strategy so that students articulate how, based on their aims, research can be conducted. Graduate students will advance, to name and critically unpack the proposed methodology for their own research project. Class will normally take place online and participants will have the opportunity to submit and discuss work in progress. This is an applied module and students will participate in a set of guided activities in relation to their own research project.

On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

Assessment Description
Concise contribution to the discussion addressing LOs 1 and 2 in a format of the student's choice e.g. 2 minute recording or 400 word written entry. Discussion will be open for contributions in the VLE between start Week 5 and end Week 7.

Assessment Description
1,500-2,000 word written piece (or accommodation for student's preferred submission format to be discussed and agreed with lecturer). An overview and critical justification of chosen/proposed methodology. Students will have the opportunity to discuss work in progress with the lecturer in advance of assessment deadline. Assessment due in Week 13 via the VLE.
No End of Module Formal Examination

Coursework Only
This module is reassessed solely on the basis of re-submitted coursework. There is no repeat written examination.
