Module Description: This skill centred module enables intermediate guitar students to develop their fundamental, technical, rhythmic and stylistic performance skills through the study of guitar accompaniment. Students develop their ability to learn independently and critically analyse relevant repertory.
 
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

Technique
Development of fundamental technique through basic etudes, scales, arpeggios and chords.
Reading
Progression of fundamental reading ability of basic chord charts and music notation.
Accompaniment Skills
Interaction with other musicians and backing track.
Repertory Engagement
Progressive study of key musicians from the acoustic guitar's history is used to inform the relevant stylistic considerations in performance.
