Module Description: This module develops within the learner, the knowledge, skills and competences necessary to undertake in-depth research into a specific area within either the Automotive or Transport industry.
 
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO1 Conduct a comprehensive review of relevant and appropriate literature to determine current knowledge in the project area.
LO2 Develop a work schedule and complete their research proposal within an agreed timeframe.
LO3 Prepare and submit a comprehensive written research proposal.
LO4 Write in an appropriate academic style.
LO5 Present the findings of their research to an audience.

General
Supervised, self-directed learning to achieve the learning outcomes with flexibility to adapt as necessary to the research topic in question.
Research Project
Implement research methodology and gather evidence to support research question. Analyse and evaluate research output. Communicate results through presentation.
