Module Description: This module is designed to illustrate the new realities facing Human Resource Capital Management in both the mature and emerging markets including Brazil, Russia, India & China (BRIC)and Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) Regions. This module will also enable students to critically evaluate emerging Human Resource Management issues and trends.

On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO1 Analyse the new realities facing Human Resource Capital Management in both the mature and emerging markets.
LO2 Critically assess the Human Resource Management opportunities and challenges posed by emerging markets.
LO3 Recommend appropriate HRM strategies available to a company seeking to capitalise in emerging markets.
LO4 Discuss emerging business environmental trends and assess the impact of these emerging trends on HRM practices, suggesting effective and appropriate strategic responses.
