Module Description: This module provides an introduction to basic cellular pathology.
 
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO2 Outline cellular responses and adaptations to injury.
LO3 Describe the pathological processes observed in inflammation, repair, neoplasia and circulatory disorders.
LO4 Explain the systems used to classify neoplasms.
LO5 Identify stages of sample preparation in the histopathology lab.
LO6 Recognise commonly used histological stains and their uses.
LO7 Assess the quality of stained slides.
LO8 Identify procedures that affect the quality of stained slides.
