Module Description: A green team is a group of people working collectively to help identify and implement specific improvements that will help their organization to operate in a more sustainable fashion.

In this module the learner is a member of a green team that is given responsibility for scoping, designing and implementing a green project. The challenge presented to the team will require a problem-based and project-based approach by the team members.
 
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO1 Summarise the philosophy, methodology and activities of green teams.
LO2 Plan the establishment and operation of a green team.
LO3 Conduct a survey and analyse the findings using appropriate marketing research tools and techniques.
LO4 Summarise and present the outcomes of a green team project, including the development of the interpersonal and communication skills of the team members.

Philosophy; Getting started; Developing a plan; Team operations; Survey best practice; Access Databases and Excel; Assessment tools: cost-benefit analysis, eco-mapping, process mapping, carbon footprint and ecological footprint;
Project Planning
Identifying opportunities; Brainstorming; Selection of leading ideas; Final decision; Scoping project; Evolution of plan; Definition of expected outcomes.
Project Realisation
Meetings. Team member responsibilities. Activities. Assessment of peer and self contributions to team performance. Presentation and Poster design.
