Indicative Content |
Measuring the level of economic activity
GDP, GNP, National Income, The Irish experience.
|
Role of Government
The budget and fiscal policy, general government sector borrowing and debt, inflation, unemployment and Business Cycle.

Money, Credit Creation and Monetary Policy
Definition and functions of money, money supply, process of multiple credit expansion, monetary policy and the European system of central Banks.
|
The Open Economy
Trade, determination of exchange rates, exchange rate regimes and balance of payments.
