Module Description: This module focuses on communicative fluency (reading, writing, listening and speaking) in Business English. It is an advanced-level module intended for students who have already attained a CEFR level in English as a Foreign Language of C1+.
 
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO1 Speak the English language spontaneously, flexibly and effectively for professional purposes
LO2 Demonstrate fluent comprehension by reacting appropriately to business situations in an English-speaking environment as they arise
LO3 Demonstrate an understanding of a wide range of longer, complex texts within the field of International Business, and recognise implicit meaning therein
LO4 Generate longer, complex texts in English on aspects of International Business
LO5 Demonstrate an awareness of linguistic variations in global Business English discourse

Dealing effectively (from a linguistic and intercultural awareness perspective) with crisis and handling conflict within business situations in the English-speaking world
