PO1 Knowledge - Breadth A detailed knowledge and understanding of studio practice as it relates to Applied Art and Ceramics and demonstrate their ability to clearly articulate the theory, concepts and methods pertaining to applied art with particular reference to their own area of investigation and specialisation.
PO2 Knowledge - Breadth Current knowledge in relation to the real world professional practice in relation to applied art.
PO3 Knowledge - Breadth Thorough knowledge of health and safety standards.
PO4 Knowledge - Kind Detailed theoretical and technical knowledge in a range of subject areas within ceramics and applied art practice, be able to utilise this knowledge to create a resolved body of artwork demonstrating an effective synthesis of practical, theoretical and conceptual knowledge and skills and be able to evaluate and discuss their own artwork within a broader contemporary historical context.
PO5 Knowledge - Kind Understand the relevance of traditional knowledge and skills and the interplay with new technologies.
PO6 Skill - Range Mastery of the tools, materials and techniques required to produce ceramic and applied art work within their area of practical specialisation, conduct purposeful experiments with a range of processes and materials that are equivalent to or extend the boundaries of existing knowledge or skill; and collaborate with other artists and professional bodies in the organisation and exhibition of artwork in a professional manner.

PO8 Skill - Selectivity Appropriate judgement in regard to their own practice and the practice of others based on informed research, analysis and critical judgement, and communicate concepts, methodologies and outcomes both visually and verbally to their peers, fellow practitioners and the viewing audience.
PO9 Competence - Context The implications and applications of creative solutions in a variety of contexts; apply critical thinking with regard to their own art practice and its outcomes and evaluate and discuss art practice within a broader social, economic and aesthetic context.
