PO1 Knowledge - Breadth The ability to apply knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice, Quality Assurance, Mathematics, Science and Management skills so as to act effectively as a higher technician or supervisor/junior manager in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical device industries.
PO2 Knowledge - Kind A recognition of the limits of their current knowledge and familiarity with new sources of knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice, Quality Assurance, Mathematics, Science and Management. The ability to integrate knowledge from the above range of subject areas in the solution of quality assurance and technical problems in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical device industries.
PO3 Skill - Range The ability to apply mathematical,technical and managerial knowledge and skills to the solution of practical problems in a manufacturing setting. Interpret and apply quality standards and regulations and hence prepare and audit quality systems and procedures.
PO4 Skill - Selectivity The ability to identify, prioritise and implement solutions to quality and managerial issues. The ability to design, implement, evaluate and audit quality management systems.
PO5 Competence - Context The ability to act effectively as a higher technician or junior manager in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical device industries, dealing with technical, regulatory and personnel issues, to analyse and diagnose problems and then generate solutions including improved processes and procedures.
PO6 Competence - Role The ability to work autonomously and as a member or leader of a team in a higher technician or junior managerial capacity, and to take responsibility for one's own work and the work of others in a manufacturing industry.
PO7 Competence - Learning to Learn The ability to improve their individual performance and contribute to their continuous professional development, including the ability to interact effectively in a learning group.
