PO1 Knowledge - Breadth A specialised knowledge of media production practice in print, image creation, video and interactive web design, and of relevant areas including lay-out and preparation for print, design for digital imagery, video production; shooting and editing video and interactive design for web.
PO2 Knowledge - Kind Understanding of current professional media production practice, and the ability to critique it and situate it in a broader contemporary context.
PO3 Skill - Range The ability to research, critically evaluate and analyse both print and screen based design in the form of text, image, motion, sound and interactive information, and to apply practical, technical and conceptual skills in the production and presentation of creative solutions to media production problems.
PO4 Skill - Selectivity The ability to make appropriate judgments in relation to working through and/or supervising the media production process, and to generate solutions within a specified framework. The ability to adapt and employ new procedures with the introduction of new technologies, and to make decisions informed by relevant ethical and safety standards.
